A lot of processes for polymerization and depolymerization imply comparable challenges. Multiple mixing tasks have to be solved and scaled up. In many processes challenges of complex rheology or different, fluctuating mixtures of starting material have to be overcome. We will give an overview on current trends in the production of new bio-based polymer materials as well as in chemical plastics recycling.
